Installing the Store & Product Locators

Store Locator Wizard

Our Store Locator is an iframe that you will drop into your store locator page on your website. You will receive a link to your Store Locator Wizard similar to our test wizard but with the embed code unique to your integration. Please note the top and bottom of this page are for staging only.

To install: Click the blue tools icon to open the wizard and scroll down to Share & Embed. Copy and paste the embed code (not the share link) into your store/dealer locator page.

You can also choose to install your store locator using a subset map or pre-filtered map by category to restrict your list to just certain dealers.

To embed a pre-filtered Store Locator onto any page of your site, install the Store Locator using your normal embed code, with the additional category parameter added. Be sure to replace “category-tag” with your specific category. For more information, please see the article Dealer List Categories.

"category": "category-tag",

You can filter for multiple categories by using the OR operator like this:

"category": "category1 OR category2",

To get the code for a subset map install, in the Store Locator, add a category in the Default Category field. It is case sensitive.

You can also install translated Store Locator by selecting the language under locale. That will translate all universal parts of the Store Locator. If you would like to add additional translations to banners or any other areas, please contact support@locally.com for guidance.

Notes: Certain brands prefer to launch Locally as a modal. This is fine, but please let us know if you plan on taking this route so we can confirm it is being loaded properly. Most brands will want to have their maps jump to the location of the shopper, you can have it jump to a specified location

Product Locator Wizard

You will receive a link to your Product Locator Wizard similar to this but with code unique to your integration. With the wizard you can change formats at any time.
To access the embed code, click the blue tools icon to open the Wizard. Scroll down to Share & Embed. Copy the embed code and paste that into your PDPs.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The UPC or Style Number parameter must be injected per PDP. A common error is inserting the same style or UPC for all. Your web developers will need to change one parameter in the embed code provided, per PDP to ensure the UPC or Style Number changes accordingly. We do not support SKUS. Most brands write javascript to programatically have the UPC or Style Number pulled from each page to inject into the Product Locator. Please note, while our team provides the code and can provide guidance we are unable to write any scripts or touch your CMS.

Best Practice Recommendation - If using UPC and a product has multiple variants, we recommend loading all UPCs, separated by comma and then upon a shopper selecting a choice, reloading with just the UPC for the selection. Read Product Locator: Reload for more information.

If using Style, our widget will find all available variants within that grouping. Therefore, if a shopper is looking at a product and a nearby dealer has that product available in one color it will show as "in stock". When the shopper clicks that store, our modal will show the actual variants (colors, sizes, etc) in-stock at the moment.

Once you have your product locator installed, please send your Implementation Manager a link to the staging site (and username/password if needed) so that we can confirm the Product Locator is working as desired. The best indicator that the Product Locator is working correctly is seeing the product info on the map pop-up from the Product Locator. You should see the product thumbnail, product name, and Unit MSRP (if you are displaying prices).
