Would you rather Auto-Sync your dealer list? Instructions are here.
Start by Setting up your Locally.com Account and Providing Access to Others (If Needed)
Start by creating a Locally.com account.
Once your account is approved, login into your Locally Dashboard.
Parent-Child-Orphan System
We have a system of "parents" and "children" and "orphans". When we can verify a location through our system, we make it a parent and each dealer authorization gets attached as a child. The store claims the parent to add links, logos, and inventory.
If we cannot verify the location through our system, we leave it as an orphan until we can verify it or the store wants to claim it. We leave orphans visible and do not consider the orphan status to denote anything negative.
Accessing the Dealer List Manager
Please note: Internet Explorer isn't compatible. Please use a different browser.
Once you’re logged in to your account, click the blue tab on the left of the screen, then click Retailers and select Manage your Dealer List.
Removing Stores from your List
To remove a store from your list, find the retailer, right click on their name, and click “Suppress Dealer.”
This will remove this store from appearing on your Locally-powered tools.
In case you want to access records of the stores you once listed, or you want to re-add that store at a future date, Locally saves stores you’ve removed under the “Suppressed” category. To see these stores, under “Status,” filter for Suppressed/Closed.
Adding Stores to your List
Locally’s “Open StoreFront” CRM contains over 200,000 store listings globally. As a Locally partner brand, you can search and easily add any store that exists in our CRM.
To get started, click “Add New Dealers” at the top right of your dealer list view:
Search for a retailer by retailer name, city, or postal code. Remember that their shopper-facing name may be different than the name of the legal entity you bill to. Add any categories and apply an optional vendor ID so it matches with your internal CRM.
If after searching for a retailer by store name, city, state, and postal code, you cannot find the store, or the store exists but contains incorrect information, click the "submit that here" link (or submit a ticket here ) and we will make that addition for you.
Updating Existing Store Listings
To have existing store information updated (for example, if a store has a new address, phone, etc.), please send in details by clicking the "submit that here" link (or submit a ticket here). Since the listing may be claimed by a retailer, and the info is shared across our platform, we verify all change requests before committing them to the database.
Editing Store Categories
If you’re like many brands, your Locally Store Locator/Product Locator may incorporate category tags to highlight different store segments.
When editing categories for stores in your dealer list view, you must use the exact “Category Tag” that Locally is using to generate the category. To see these tags, navigate to Tools & Maps > Store Categories (direct link).
Click into a category to find the `Name Used In List` field. This is the term you must enter for a store for the category to work. Do not use the “Display Name.”
Note: Category tags are case sensitive. For example, if you use the category tag `Example` our system would not recognize `example`.
To add multiple categories to a store, separate each tag with a comma, without a space: `example1,example2,example3`. In your dashboard, it’d appear like this:
When you are done entering a category, they will automatically save. Refresh your Locally-powered tools to see them take effect.
Downloading Your Dealer List
In your Dealer List Manager, click the Download CSV button at the top right. You can open this document in applications like Microsoft Office.
Retailer Participation Metrics
The "Show Retailer Participation" checkbox at the top of your Dealer List Manager controls whether certain participation metrics are displayed in the list. Please note: these metrics update nightly.
When this option is checked, the list will display the following columns of data:

Responding to Retailer Authorization Requests
With Locally, retailers can request to be added to brand lists through their own locally.com account. For information on handling these requests, head here: Using "Relationship Manager" to process retailer authorization requests.
