hereSetting Up an Automated Connection Between Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) and Locally
If you use Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) and want to automatically update your inventory on Locally without needing to upload files manually, you can set up an automated connection. This keeps your product availability up to date.
How to Set Up the Automated Connection
Log in to Your Lightspeed Retail Account
Sign in to your Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) dashboard.
Go to the Reporting Section
In the navigation bar, click on Reporting.
Select Inventory Reports from the available report categories.
Choose the Report You Want to Automate
Pick a report that you’d like to send to Locally (e.g., Inventory Summary, Product Availability).
Make sure you are using a 1 day date range.
Schedule the Report
Click on the Actions button and select Share.
A pop-up will appear asking you to enter the recipients of the scheduled report.
Add your Locally’s email address.
- Note: Every store location in our system has a unique email address assigned that inventory files can be sent to. View it in your locally.com account under "Email Method" here. Please contact support@locally.com once you have sent your first file via this method, because we need to create a connection on our end in order for your uploads to automatically sync.
Choose how often you want the report to be sent: daily
Save Your Schedule
After selecting your frequency, click Save Schedule. Your inventory report will now be automatically sent to Locally at the set times.
What Happens Next?
Once your setup is complete, reach out to the Locally support team at Support@Locally.com to get your new inventory feed connected to your store. Once connected, your inventory will automatically update on Locally every day, ensuring that customers always see your current stock without any manual updates from you.
